DAILY DEVOTIONAL & PRAYER GUIDE

21 DAY FAST & CONSECRATION 2023
THEME: BRAND NEW

WEEK ONE

DAY 1 – FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1

2 Corinthians 5:17

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Devotion:

A woman in her sixties had a hairstyle she maintained since she was in her twenties. She felt the hairstyle was really becoming and just matched her youthful energy and spunk. While this was true when she first got the look, the hairstyle had become outdated and really made her look older than her sixty plus years. One day, her daughter finally got up the nerve to gently tell her mom that she was due for a makeover. There was nothing wrong with her mom’s hair, it just could look better, and her daughter had to tell her. The woman was resistant at first because her hairstyle made her feel comfortable and even confident. Her daughter, however, insisted and gave her mom a day at the spa which included a head-to-toe makeover. After a full day of pampering, the woman saw herself in the mirror and could not believe the reflection looking back at her! The haircut made her look like a sassy woman in her thirties! She was transformed! The bible tells us that, as believers, we are made new in Christ; the old is gone and the new has come. It is up to every believer to maintain that “just like new feeling” we get when we receive the Lord as Savior. We must (daily) ask the Lord to forgive us for our sins and to “create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me.” That brand new feeling comes with an intentional heart check-up every day. Our mentality must be that old things have passed away and the old is no longer beneficial—it’s not good enough. God is inviting the Body to partner with Him in this new move and renovation. Yes. We need to repent everyday (repentance is imperative to staying spiritually clean and to our growth and development in Christ) and God wants to make improvements in us in other areas as well. Maybe we need a mindset renovation? … from always being negative to learning to see and appreciate the positive. Maybe we can be nicer or kinder to others? Maybe God just wants to show us another way (a better way) to do life and steward our responsibilities? Whatever changes God wants to make, we must be willing and obedient. As we intentionally let go of the old things, He is doing a new thing. Allow Him to transform you and do a new thing from the inside out.

DAY 2 – SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2

Luke 5:37-39 NKJV 37 “

And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. 38 But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved. 39 And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, ‘The old is better.’”

Devotion:

The old is not good enough. This message must resonate and resound in our heart and mind. God is ready to give us an upgrade! Hallelujah! He is doing a new thing! Can we not see it? As we matriculate through this fast and consecration and the remainder of 2023, let’s ask God and the Holy Spirit to open our spiritual eyes to see Him shifting and transforming our lives, our families, and our communities. He says, call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things you do not know! Jesus referenced wine in this passage because He knew His audience understood the process of making wine in those times and how important it was to their culture. New wine or the process of making new wine includes harvesting and crushing the grapes, fermentation, and aging. When new wine was put into new wine skins, the gases would cause the wine skin to expand. It was important to not use old wine skins during this activity and process because the new wine would ultimately cause the old wine skin to expand and burst. “New wine requires new wine skins.” PD… Jesus gives a picture of the Kingdom and His agenda here. Something is moving, changing, and expanding in God’s Kingdom. God is doing something new and it’s active and it’s different. He is doing this new thing in and through His people. We must be willing to go through the process of being made new. Crushing, stretching, and repositioning is involved in this process. Being made new is not comfortable but it is necessary. We must be willing to be stretched and made uncomfortable for the advancement of the Kingdom. We must not be complacent and stuck in our old ways or old systems. Let God birth something new and fresh through you today. Lord, Your Kingdom come, and Your will be done.

DAY 3 – SUNDAY, DECEMBER 3

Ephesians 4:17-24 17

So I say this, and affirm in the Lord, that you are to no longer walk just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their minds, 18 being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; 19 and they, having become callous, have given themselves up to indecent behavior for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. 20 But you did not learn Christ in this way, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, 22 that, in reference to your former way of life, you are to rid yourselves of the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, 23 and that you are to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

Devotion:

As believers in Christ, we are different. Old things. Old ways. Old habits. Old systems… they have passed away and we are made new in Christ Jesus. We are no longer slaves to sin but slaves to righteousness. It’s our way of life and we are not obligated to live like the world. The world tries desperately to live and be apart from God. When our clothes get dirty, we don’t continue wearing them just because it may be our favorite outfit. We put our dirty laundry in the wash or take them to the drycleaners to be cleaned. Like our clothes, our minds need regular cleaning and refreshing. We were made new when we accepted Christ as Lord and Savior and that newness in Christ must be learned and maintained. We learn about Jesus and how He walked and lived in the earth, and we aim to model and imitate His behavior. We maintain that brand new feeling with daily prayer and repentance, worship with other believers, and the study and hearing of the word of God. As we continue to walk out our salvation, God will continue to make us better and more in improved in Him. We’ll see growth in every season. It should be our goal to become more and more like Jesus, every day. For me, to live is Christ… (Phil. 1:21a)

DAY 4 – MONDAY, DECEMBER 4

Isaiah 43:18-19 NASB 18

Do not call to mind the former things or consider things of the past. 19 Behold, I am going to do something new, Now it will spring up; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.

Devotion:

In ancient times, a new roadway or walking path was a big deal. Nowadays it’s a hassle when road work is happening—especially when you are on your way to work. Every so often infrastructure improvements are necessary. Roadway improvements are necessary to ensure ease of accessibility from one location to another and to maintain the quality of life we are used to. In this passage, God’s people were once again in captivity, this time under Babylonian rule. God admonishes them through the prophet Isaiah to not focus on their past and seemingly forever circumstance, but to focus on their God who is able to improve their circumstance and set them free. Ask yourself: what is God able to do with my current situation? Can He improve my current state? Is He able to heal my body? Can He mend and rebuild my broken marriage? Can He improve my relationship with my children? Can He transform my mind (and my ways) and break the cycles of sin trying to destroy me? Can He give me purpose in my community and in the marketplace? We must believe that with man (man’s efforts) it may seem impossible but with God all things are possible. God is doing something new in our life now. But don’t miss the “new” looking for the spectacular. Maybe God is giving you a new perspective in this season?... and, with that new perspective you learn how to praise Him when you don’t feel it. In this new season, you go to the house of God even when you don’t want to. Not only do you start going when you don’t feel like going but you purposely and intentionally get there early for prayer! (Can you imagine what God will do if you just give Him a little more in prayer?!) God has given us a new opportunity, a new season. He is improving our quality of life in Him. In this new season, do something new! Read the word of God out of discipline and obedience. Pray without ceasing. Lift your hands in the sanctuary. If we can get a fresh and new perspective on the rudiments of the faith, God will move because even when we are faithless, He is faithful! He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

DAY 5 – TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5

Luke 5:37-39 NKJV 37

“And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. 38 But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved. 39 And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, ‘The old is better.’”

Devotion:

New wineskins were pliable. They were flexible and would not burst when new wine was poured in. Old wineskins (over time) were rigid, not flexible and would burst if new wine was poured in. Jesus came to shake things up, to forgive sins and bring salvation to the lost and to do something new, something that had never been done before. The Pharisees were not willing to open themselves up to this new move of God. They were rigid and unbending. As God begins to reshape and retool us, we mustn’t be rigid and unwilling to yield to His ways. It’s not our job to understand what God is doing (His ways are not our ways). It’s our job to trust Him, take Him at His word and follow His lead. Don’t be afraid of what you don’t understand in this season. God is intentionally coming after our systems, our programs, our habits, structures, practices, traditions, strategies, and comforts to give us a brandnew way to steward ourselves and His Kingdom objectives. Let Him have His way and see what you’ve never seen before.

DAY 6 – WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6

1Corinthians 2:9 NKJV

But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Devotion:

Be encouraged! God is not slack concerning His promises. He is patient with us and is generous in showing love and favor to His people. In fact, He first loved us, and we are His prized possession, the apple of His eye. Declare it. Receive it. Jesus loves me! We’re going to go through trials and we’re going to have struggles. We’re going to experience some mountaintop highs and several valley lows. Our faith journey is often riddled with these realities, but God encourages us to look forward to what He has prepared for His children. We may not see the whole of it in this life, but He promises a new heaven and a new earth. He said in the gospels that “I go to prepare a place for you…” He has much in store for His beloved. It’s big! Our labor of love and sacrifice is not in vain. The bible says in Hebrews 12 and 2: looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Jesus is our example and paradigm. He endured the shame and humiliation of the cross so that we would have new life in Him! Focus on the joy of the Lord. Allow His spirit to gird you and plant you in His presence. In His presence there is fullness of joy! While you wait for the fulfillment of this prophecy in your life, be satisfied in knowing Jesus is with you. The Holy Spirit is with you. God is with you. He will never leave you. Endure and see what the end will be.

DAY 7 – THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7

2Peter 3:9 NASB

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.

Devotion:

The bible says that all the promises of God are yes and amen. Sometimes we think God is dragging His feet when it comes to transforming our lives, answering our prayers, and making all things new? But what if God wants to make us new before He gives us anything else. Before He makes a way out of no way… before He makes the crooked places straight and the rough places plain… What if the new thing is a new me? As we go into a new year and a new season, God is calling His church to true holiness and reverence. His patience and longsuffering have kept us from dying in our sinful state. The promises are coming but like a bride preparing to meet the groom, we must be ready to receive the blessing. Every year He gives us an opportunity to reset and renew our commitment to Him and to denounce sin cycles and start fresh. It’s up to us to maintain that “brand new” feeling we get when we truly repent and turn from our wicked ways. God is calling us to a new year of living holy and blameless before Him. In our own strength, we can’t do it. He is Holy and He has called us out of dark spaces and places to be His holy people. He wants us to adapt a different and effective approach to living for Him. What would happen if when faced with a sin option and a Godly option, we made a habit and a discipline of choosing the Godly option? Every time. No matter how tempted we were or how weak we felt in our flesh? Flashback to Jesus in the wilderness. He was fasting and praying. In His flesh (He was 100% man and 100% God), He had to feel weak. Yet, with every temptation He responded the same way, with the word of God, and it worked, every time. Read the word. Learn the word and allow the word to work mightily through you. “He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.” Isaiah 40:29… During this fast and consecration, ask the Holy Spirit to give you a new discipline and a new approach to addressing temptation and sin vices in your life. We have been equipped by Jesus to overcome because He overcame! Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world!

                                                                                         ---------------

WEEK TWO

DAY 8 – FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8

Matthew 6:25-33 NASB
25 For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will
drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than
clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather crops into barns,
and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more important than they? 27 And which
of you by worrying can add a single day to his life’s span? 28 And
why are you worried about clothing?
Notice how the lilies of the field grow; they do not labor nor do they spin thread for cloth, 29 yet I say to
you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the
grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, wi
ll He not much more
clothe you? You of little faith! 31 Do not worry then, saying, ‘What are we to eat?’ or ‘What are we to
drink?’ or ‘What are we to wear for clothing?’ 32 For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your
heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first His kingdom and His
righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.

Devotion:
Philippians 4:19 tells us that my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ
Jesus. We must rest in that. God doesn’t lie and He will do what He said. God is taking our faith to a
new level. This is not blind or misguided faith (although we walk by faith and not by sight), this is “a
knowing faith.” I know God will provide for me because the evidence is all around me and His track
record is perfect. He always comes through, and He will do it again. Look at the birds of the air and the
lilies of the field. They are taken care of, and they don’t have the benefit and privilege of being His
most prized possession. We need a new and improved faith walk in this hour. No matter the
circumstance, we mustn’t lose hope in God. He is our portion. Don’t worry. Worship instead. Worship
God for who He is and forever will be. He’s a good Father and Provider. The Lord is my Shepherd, I
shall not want... Lord, help our unbelief and give us a new awareness of Your presence in our lives. You
never leave us, and You never forsake us. Today, make God and the things of God your primary focus.
Put Him first and rest assured that He will provide all that you need.

DAY 9 – SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9

Ephesians 3:20-21 NASB
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the
power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations
forever and ever. Amen.

Matthew 7: 7-11 NASB
7 Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you. 8 For
everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and the one who kno
cks it will be opened. 9
Or what person is there among you who when his son asks for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone? 10
Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? 11 So if you, despite being evil, know how to
give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to
those who ask Him!

Devotion:
God can do anything! We must keep this truth on repeat in our spirit and it should be our heartfelt
praise to the One who is well able! There’s nothing that we face that He can’t manage and there’s
nothing He can’t do, in or out of our scope of thinking or imagining. He can do far more than what we
think or ask. He is not limited, and He is not beholden to anyone or anything. He is the one true and
living God and all authority belongs to Him. Great is our God and He is greatly to be praised! As we
pray during this season of fasting, let your faith reach new heights in Him. Don’t be afraid to ask, to
seek and to knock. Ask for good things according to His will and He will answer you. He says, call to
me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know. Remember
what He has already done and praise Him for His might and revealed glory. Let His praises ring in your
spirit and know that He can do all things and He is able to far exceed your expectations!

DAY 10 – SUNDAY, DECEMBER 10

Luke 5:37-39 NKJV
37 “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be
spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. 38 But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are
preserved. 39 And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, ‘The old is
better.’”

Hebrews 4:12 NKJV
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the
division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the
heart.

Devotion:
God is doing a new thing and it is up to us to let go of the old things. Old patterns and old mindsets
must be abandoned. The old is gone and the new has come. Allow His truth, the truth of His word, to
become your truth. We are new creatures in Christ and His word is actively, and surgically, cutting
away what is not needed. His word is life-changing and is doing a work in us. Continue to be hearers
and doers of the word and yield to the transformation it brings-- from the inside out. Allow His word
to stretch you and reshape you. Allow the word to do something new in you. We are moving forward
and the old us can’t go where God is taking us. He is taking a transformed people to a new place in
Him. New wine. New wineskins.

DAY 11 – MONDAY, DECEMBER 11

Romans 7:18-19
18  For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what
is right, but not the ability to carry it out.  19  For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not
want is what I keep on doing.

Devotion:
We are halfway into our consecration. Here is a moment of truth as I ask this question. What’s
dying in you? Is it your attitude; fault finding, Is it the discipline to make decisions without
prayer? Is malice or gossip, is it disliking someone and not even know why? What is it? For at
this point you should know something that needs to die. I realize that sometimes we don’t even
know how to talk to God about it. Here is a scripture that has greatly helped bring truth to life
about it. Let’s read it together again. 18  For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in
my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out.  19  For I do
not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want
is what I keep on doing.
Confession; is your honest expression that you need to crucify the flesh. So talking to God,
admitting our failed effort to change is what this scripture is about. When you really have a
struggle in your prayer, pray this verse and watch how your confession is the beginning of dying
to self. Admit you have to die to your old ways with expectation the new ways are coming. God
will give you His Word and discipline to change. You have to make room for the change to
come. God is doing a new thing in you! It may not feel great at the moment of death but watch
the newness of life come.

DAY 12 – TUESDAY, DECEMBER 12

Roman 12:1 ESV
12 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, [a]  by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as
a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. [b]

Devotion:

The world system opposes the Kingdom of God. To be a believer in the kingdom,
God has a process for us to experience so that we can mature, we can live a life
pleasing to HIM. In this scripture God is urging us to present our bodies as a living
sacrifice, holy and acceptable to HIM. We must offer ourselves, mind, body and
soul totally to HIM. After all that He suffered, sacrificed and died for us; the best
that we should give HIM is all of our selves. Crucifying the flesh daily means to
choose to daily remove the sins that cause us to be separated from HIM Is there
anything that has first place other than God? Is Job, your family, your relationships
more important than God? Do you give more time to this and less time to the
kingdom. When we change our mind and remove ourselves from the world system,
we draw closer to God. To sum it up God wants us to live a lifestyle of
commitment to HIM. The world has no loyalty to you, has no love for you, but to
get caught up in the world, will surely lead to devastation and despair.

DAY 13 – WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 13

Ezekiel 36:26-27 ESV
26  And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove
the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.  27  And I will put my Spirit
within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.

Devotion:
When you first received Jesus into your heart, He promises to give you a new heart and a new
spirit. But He also said He will remove the heart of stone, the heart that is hardened and cant
receive and give you a heart of flesh. This heart of flesh doesn’t mean you have become fleshly
but the symbol of a fleshly heart here means a heart that is moldable, transformable and can be
changed so that you can live according to His Word. We must die to self, allow the deceitfulness
of the heart to be transformed. Once God can get a hold of your heart, your mind has already
changed to do His will. In this consecration, here may still be some stoniness of your heart; It
may be the part of you not surrendered and submitted to God; the part that has be resistant to
change because of past hurts, old ways of the world still lingering around. Listen for these
words from the Father; The day that you hear HIS voice, harden not your heart… Hebrews 3:15

DAY 14 – THURSDAY, DECEMBER 14

Hebrews 10:35-36
35Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. 36For
you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you
may receive what is promised.

Devotion:

The reality of living everyday for Christ, we will go through trials and tests, very
often adversities because your adversary is always trying to kill, steal ,and destroy.
But God wants you to have this confidence, the faith; don’t throw it away or even
give it up to compromise but stand. There’s a crown laid up for you and you need
to keep your eyes on the prize. Yes! You’re going to go through, but God is saying
you have need of endurance. Run this race with commitment to stay, quitting is not
an option. Perhaps before this consecration, you fa
ced the idea of quitting,
throwing in the towel. Don’t forfeit your crown to the enemy by giving up and
quitting. We will have to endure hardness as a good soldier. It’s hard sometimes
but great is your reward. We want it easy, we don’t want to suffer that is the flesh.
We like to be comfortable, so we resist when uncomfortable. But did it ever occur
to you that God will allow you to feel uncomfortable just so He can get the glory
out of what He is doing, so you can’t say you did it or made it happen . Maybe He
allows the endurance because it’s the only way to teach you a truth that will break
once and for all an albatross around your neck. An albatross is something you
absolutely can’t escape or something that is preventing the will of God; that which
cause deep anxiety. But God can do anything, even break the albatross around your
neck. Let God do this new thing in you! It will set you free, allowing you to walk
in the newness of life.

WEEK THREE

DAY 15 – FRIDAY, DECEMBER 15

2 Peter 1:10-11
10  Therefore, brothers, [a]  be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you
practice these qualities you will never fall. 11  For in this way there will be richly provided for
you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Devotion:
God is teaching us that being diligent and committed to live for HIM and demonstrate that
we are called and chosen by God. Our zeal and passion for Jesus will be a light to this dark
world. We need for the world to wonder and see that this joy we have could only be given by
the Lord; as it flows out of our love for HIM daily. But here is the promise, that if you live this
way you won’t fall away. The enemy will have no dominion or power over you. But here is
another promise, that on the day that you take your last breath, there is an entrance for you
in HIS eternal kingdom. Let’s focus on our eternal destiny. Let’s pursue with all diligence to
be a light, to love HIM with all faith and perseverance. Here’s another challenge; take the
hand of someone who doesn’t know this wonderful king of kings so they get to know HIM
too. Souls are the utmost importance to HIM.

DAY 16 – SATURDAY, DECEMBER 16

Hebrews 12:1-3
12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay
aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the
race that is set before us,  2  looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who
for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is
seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Devotion:

We can’t run this race without keeping our eyes on Jesus. We can’t run this race with a
lot of weighty baggage from our past. You are positioned now to run with diligence, and
unwavering faith. Some of that weight is coming off and God is saying run my daughter,
run my son. Run toward the prize I have laid up for you. Jesus paid it all for you to run
this race. He stood in the gap for your soul to finish strong. Would you deny Him the
blessing of seeing you run, seeing you finish? Oh my!! He is excited, watching you lay
down the weights, forgetting those things which are behind you. The heavenly hosts
and those who have preceded you are cheering you on. RUN! RUN! RUN! You WIN.
That crown will shine bright!! That crown will glorify HIM. He’s watching, He’s waiting,
He’s calling! Finish strong. You got what it takes. You’ve got JESUS!!

DAY 17 – SUNDAY, DECEMBER 17

1 Peter 2:5 ESV
5  you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy
priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Devotion:

The term living stones is a metaphor which helps us see that we have an intimate relationship
with Jesus and this relationship is secure. Jesus was the living stone that was rejected by
builders who truly did not understand that He is the cornerstone that supports the foundation.
As believers we are to build our faith, our relationship on the foundation in Jesus Christ. It is
secure and never fails. We likewise are to be living stones having our spiritual house built solid,
holy and representing God in character and His righteousness. The foundation of God’s building
is His Son. Every Word of God lays a principle and truth of the foundation that only He could
establish. You are a living stone being built up to glorify HIM.

DAY 18 – MONDAY, DECEMBER 18

James 1:12 ESV
12  Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will
receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

Devotion:

At this point in our consecration, we can be assured that God is in the character-building
business. Godly character can stand up under the fierceness of the enemy’s attacks, can endure
trials to bring glory to God; reveal the true witness of Jesus on the inside working on the
outside. Some tests and trials may last awhile; Ill even go so far to say a long time. It’s all
according to the plan of God to do something that will absolutely demonstrate that HE is God. I
don’t think anyone prays God please put me in a trial. When we have the wisdom to know He is
so sovereign that His plans are for good, perhaps we can rest in the fact that it must be working
for the good. You may not feel it, you may not even comprehend it. Resting in HIM will also
demonstrate to God how much we trust HIM. It also shows the Father that we belong to HIM.
Don’t get it twisted, being called a son or daughter doesn’t exempt us from problems,
tragedies, controversies, hardship. We just know who we are and that His promises are sure.
Look up in the midst of your trial, the fruit in your character is being revealed so tell God how
much you want to glorify HIM. He promises a crown of life.

DAY 19 – TUESDAY, DECEMBER 19

2 Corinthians 5:16-17
16  Therefore from now on we recognize no one by the flesh; even though we have
known Christ by the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.  17  Therefore if
anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold,
new things have come.

Devotion:

Well! You are deep into this move of God to transform your life. Who you were at the
beginning of this Fast and consecration, is not who you are now. The hand of God is on your
life, your purpose, your destiny. You are built for this!! The reality is that dying to flesh is not
easy; transformation is not easy. In fact let’s keep it real. Its hard. The war in the flesh vs the
spirit will continue until Jesus makes His appearing. Your YES to be transformed is the work of
the Holy Spirit and only He could do this. As you go through your process don’t get stuck, keep
praying, keep your eyes on Jesus. The butterfly became a beautiful creation of God but it had to
die to its old self so that the new could come. The new will come after you have been hidden
for a season. Don’t fret, don’t complain and most importantly don’t come out until God is ready
to reveal what the world needs to see. Hold on, don’t quit, don’t get impatient. You will bloom,
just like the monarch with color and brightness for the King of Kings.

DAY 20 – WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 20

2 Peter 1:1-9
1 Simon Peter, a bond-servant and apostle of Jesus Christ,
To those
who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness
of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ:  2  Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the
knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,  3  for His divine power has granted to us
everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him
who called us by His own glory and excellence.  4  Through these He has granted to us
His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers
of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world on account of
lust.  5  Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your
faith supply moral  excellence, and in you moral excellence, knowledge,  6  and
in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and
in your perseverance, godliness,  7  and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and
in your brotherly kindness, love.  8  For if these qualities are yours and are increasing,
they do not make you useless nor unproductive in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus
Christ.

Devotion:
In this scripture is God’s heart for His people to grow, mature, and live a godly life. The
wonderful grace afforded to us is the working of the Holy Spirit. The more we know God and
His son Jesus the more we see how grace abounds in our life. That’s why we need to study the
word every day. The Holy Spirit brings divine revelation. You can read this same word today and
read again and get different understanding and truth. So Peter is letting us know that as we
partake of the divine nature of God, we can lay hold of these precious promises promised to us.
His divine nature is the anointing to escape this worlds decay and rise above our sinful desires.
Everything we need to live a godly life He has already given. He has given us the fruit of the
spirit which is essential to live a godly life. This is a lifestyle that enables us to handle every
situation including the adverse ones. Our salvation brought us a new nature by which we don’t
perish as the world does. However this is an ongoing process, lifestyle, move of the Holy Spirit
to keep shaping
and molding us into the likeness of HIS son. God is saying I have all the building
blocks to make you. I have given you all that you need to carry out the purpose, the plan and
destiny for your life.

Right now there are somethings that must be brand new. Stand firm!! Its going to be ok. You
have everything you need.

DAY 21 – THURSDAY, DECEMBER 21

Revelation 21:5
5  And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He
*said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”

Devotion:

The IAM is speaking and fulfilling His promises. This entire 21 days has been a journey
proving God is moving to make all things new. You have a new attitude, a new
revelation, a new mindset, a new you. How you started is not how you are finishing. It
may have been a turbulent start but look at you now. Some of you are taking your gifts
and talents submitting them to God for correction, for sharpening to function with
precision and excellence. Look what the Lord has done. So many times the battle to get
up and pray, has become a victory, so many times the depression weighing you down,
stealing your momentum has been halted and defeated. What you didn’t understand
and couldn’t embrace, your arms are wide open to receive and your YES has
intensified. What didn’t come clear before now, has your heart saying NOW I KNOW
AND NOW I UNDERSTAND!!! Hallelujah. But here’s where we are now! You cant stop
here. Don’t rest on your laurels, Be ever sharpened in your gifts, be ever sharpened to
walk and search the way of God, knowing the enemy would like nothing better than to
convince you none of these things ever happened. Yep the lies are coming, the
accusations are at hand but tell the devil. Not this time! Im sharpened, Im prepared, Im
on alert. You cant trip me up, Im not throwing in the towel. As a matter of fact devil you
don’t even know me because IM BRAND NEW.

                                                                                                                                                   ------------------------------
