Creation Station is an online program that encourages youth to unlock their creative potential through hands-on projects.

 

Creation Station is comprised of four tracks: Audio Engineering, Graphic Design, Effective Communication, and STEM.  Each module is taught by skillful and forward-thinking instructors called “Maker Mentors” 

 

Our goal is to equip youth with multifaceted and transferable skill sets that will set them apart in an ever-evolving society. Students will finish the program with a personal portfolio.

 

All sessions are delivered online via distance learning. Chromebooks are provided!

SCHEDULE

4 WEEK SESSION BEGINS MON, JANUARY 25

  • Virtual classes are Monday through Friday from 4:30 pm - 6:35 pm

  • Each student will be provided a Chromebook

  • There is one "Saturday Academy" class on February 20 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm. 

  • The last class is February 20.

Learn audio engineering from in-demand music producer and musician Will Davis. Students will learn concepts such as beat  and song production.

Let’s build something! Make everything from drones to protective equipment via our STEM Track, facilitated by Gloria Wazni.

Express yourself with public speaking, vlogging, & video editing. Hannah Maximin will lead students in creating their own video segments.

Unlock your inner artist and learn graphic design, brand building, content creation, and web design. Taught by local fashion designer Alan Pierre.

REQUIREMENTS

Creation Station is an innovative program, valued at $1,200. However, due to grant funding, it is offered FREE OF CHARGE to a limited enrollment of 15 people.

 

If your child is accepted, our requirements are simple:

 

  • Your child must agree to log into every class via Zoom. Chronic absenteeism will result in removal from the program.

  • Your child will be given access to a Chromebook. You agree to the safe return of the Chromebook at the conclusion of the program.

  • You agree to cooperate with the instructors concerning behavioral issues. The program director has the final say concerning recurring discipline issues.
