Day 1: Giving God Our Best

Reading: Genesis 4:1-7

Devotional: As we reflect on Cain and Abel's offerings, we're reminded that God desires not just our gifts, but our hearts. Abel brought his best, while Cain offered "some" of his crops. This isn't about quantity, but quality of heart. God looks beyond our actions to our intentions. Are we giving God our leftovers or our first fruits? Today, consider an area of your life where you might be holding back from God. It could be your time, talents, or resources. Pray for a heart that eagerly offers its best to the Lord, not out of obligation, but out of love and gratitude.

Day 2: The Heart of Worship

Reading: Romans 12:1-2

Devotional: True worship goes beyond Sunday services or occasional offerings. It's about presenting our entire lives as a "living sacrifice." This means allowing God to transform every aspect of our being - our thoughts, actions, and desires. Reflect on areas where you might be conforming to the world rather than being transformed by God. What would it look like to surrender those areas fully to Him? Ask God to renew your mind and help you discern His perfect will for your life.

Day 3: Love Languages with God

Reading: 1 John 4:7-21

Devotional: Just as we have different ways of expressing and receiving love in human relationships, God also has His "love languages." Pastor Dexter mentioned praise, worship, and prayer as some of these. As you read about God's love, consider how you best connect with Him. Is it through music, quiet reflection, acts of service, or something else? Spend time today expressing your love to God in a way that feels most natural to you. Remember, our love for God is a response to His perfect love for us.

Day 4: Cheerful Giving

Reading: 2 Corinthians 9:6-15

Devotional: God loves a cheerful giver, not because He needs our resources, but because our attitude in giving reflects our heart. When we give grudgingly, it suggests we don't trust God's provision or value His Kingdom. Examine your heart when it comes to generosity. Are you giving out of duty or delight? If you struggle with cheerful giving, ask God to show you His abundant grace and provision in your life. Let gratitude fuel your generosity.

Day 5: Treasures in Heaven

Reading: Matthew 6:19-24

Devotional: Jesus teaches us to store up treasures in heaven rather than on earth. This isn't just about money, but about where we place our ultimate value and trust. What do you treasure most? Where do you invest the majority of your time, energy, and resources? Ask God to align your priorities with His eternal perspective. Consider one practical step you can take today to invest in eternal things - perhaps by serving others, sharing your faith, or using your resources for Kingdom purposes.
