Please take a moment to read this important missive from New Vision’s Co-Founder and Overseer, Bishop Derek L. Calhoun, originally written and read to the congregation on Sunday, September 15.

I want to first commend you for your work in the gospel. We had a marvelous opening service. Great preaching and a great atmosphere of change. However, I don't want to celebrate the wedding day and deplore or loathe the marriage journey. We have to learn to celebrate every portion of this journey even when we are in tears. God is still good! Let's pause here and give God some glory. Make your boast in Him!
God has used you all greatly to go through the open and effectual door. This door has many adversaries. However, in this season they should be seen as the dormant and dead because God has given you the land and the victory in CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD!
The door you have entered is the door of infinite and fresh possibilities in the midst of finite and stale impossibilities. When God opened the door many of you followed blindly by faith and God gave you a "New Vision", New Vision. There are yet many of you that need to embrace this move of God. Stop trying to figure God out. Leap into your future and be blessed!
That is the history of our church and the motive behind our name. We must always endeavor to follow God by Faith to His promised vision new. I promise you there will be moments of intrepidation, intimidation and immobilization whereby you "feel" fear, or you are overwhelmed by the sheer size or seemingly lack of resources associated with the "New Vision".
You may even be paralyzed by the analysis trying to figure God out. Just remember He is trying to give you a New Vision.
I admonish you to understand that when you joined this church or became associated with this ministry that this is a definitive move of God. This has nothing to do with the pride or arrogance of a man to defy odds. This is about God shifting the landscape of a region to "dream again". We have to learn to dream again. Embrace a New Vision for your family, your ministry, your career, your relationships, your businesses and your future and legacy. I prophesy that where you are NOW is "DEFINITELY NOT" where you will be if you continue to follow God on this journey. Will this be easy? No! Will this try your patience? Yes! Will you want to throw in the towel? Yes, most definitely!
However, we must endeavor to put our hands in the hand of the Lord and to trust Him when you can't see Him! Trust the Lord! Lean not to your own understanding! In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths!
For those of you who are new to this, welcome to the journey of a lifetime. Those of you who are on your second tour of duty should recognize your role as conduits and conveyors of the promises of God. You have seen God do the impossible literally. Now lead the way in the demonstration of Spirit like that of Caleb. You are blessed to continue in the way of "The New Vision" now occupy and do business or the work of a banker until He comes." I decree to you God has not forgotten YOU!
Dream again! Dream again! Dream again! The future has not been seen! There is a New Vision on your horizon.
All of you take courage! Look up! Where does your help come from? It comes from the LORD the Creator of the heavens and the earth. You have not joined New Vision. You are an integral part of the New Vision. In fact, you are New Vision. You are the people that God has called to shift paradigms for ministry around the world. Apostolic Networks and governing centers will emerge around the world because of this move of God!
Hang in there submit your gifts, talents, and treasures to the Lord! Be submissive one to another. Encourage and exalt one another as you see the end coming. Stay together and fight as ONE army of God that cannot be defeated. Dismiss generational titles, age discriminations, curses and cultural barriers. Love each other unconditionally as God loves you! See the potential in everyone old and new; educated or uneducated; employed or unemployed; rich or poor.
Pray and keep your eyes open for the enemy runs to and fro in the earth seeking whom he may devour. Cover the weak and intercede for the nations. Build with a paint brush, broom, tool, or computer in one hand and a Bible in the other. Work while it is yet day! For the night will come where no man can work. Most of all be diligent in personal prayer, study and dedicated devotion to God so you can make yourself approved unto God. Stay mobile, agile and hostile against the works of the enemy!
Finally, see yourself as part of an organism rather than an organization. Stay flexible and shift. Bend and shift. Move and shift. In order to be a part of THE NEW VISION you must be willing to travel down roads you have not seen before. This will keep your New Vision current and fresh. Now step into your destiny and be blessed at home, in your careers and future. Dare to be different! Dare to dream again! Dare to trust God again! Follow God into the darkness and I guarantee you He will reveal Himself and bring you into the Light.
My wife and I love you all dearly! Be encouraged and pursue the promises of God in this season!
